What nourishes us is what we are passionate about.

What Luca and Tatiana are passionate about is Photography and Creating. To create, you need to be curious.

Like cats. That is why Alma — the name we chose for our first cat, whom we adore — is the name of our Photographic Studio.

Like her, we always want to challenge ourselves, to experiment, to be dynamic, to get excited about every new project.

This is Alma: passionate curiosity. Sharing a love that constantly renews our perspective.

That is why we don't just photograph you — we tell your stories, feeling every emotion alongside you.

Luca

Photography has been my passion since adolescence, and I took my first photos as a very young boy with a beat-up AGFAMATIC 50 that I still own today.

I also have a deep love for the mountains, and these two passions were connected from the very beginning — my first photos were taken at altitude, on the peaks of the Sibillini Mountains, where I still love to retreat whenever I get the chance. I made my first jump into the digital world in September 2003, and from that day I can safely say I entered the "tunnel" — and fortunately have not yet found my way out.

Over the years I have attended numerous courses and workshops covering the most varied photographic techniques, from portraiture to reportage, from photojournalism to landscape.

Thanks to these experiences I have met teachers and colleagues who played a decisive role in turning a simple passion into a profession. And the cherry on top — in one of these courses, in 2011, I met Tatiana, who today is not only my wife but also my closest collaborator.

Tatiana

I have always been in love with drawing and communicating through images, but when you grow up with a father who paints and creates with every kind of material, it is fairly inevitable that an artistic streak runs through your veins.

My degree thesis explored the value of Art as a privileged path to knowledge, and after graduating I dedicated myself to channelling my instincts into the technological language of graphic design software. I became a graphic designer, trading pencils for a mouse — though never truly abandoning them, because, as a friend once described me, I am a die-hard pen-and-paper purist.

Working in graphic design made me feel the need to photograph things myself — to better handle the visual material I needed for my creative work. So I bought my first reflex camera. A new, enormous enthusiasm was born.

I began attending workshops to refine a technique that, I must admit, will always struggle to keep up with my emotions. But beyond the official courses, it was through meeting talented photographer friends that my eye grew in experience — and finally, alongside my husband, so did my heart.
